[Love your people podcast] Connecting associates to great guest experiences

September 9 | 3 p.m. ET

About the podcast

Marriott was founded on a simple belief: Take care of associates and they will take care of customers.

In this episode of the “Love your people” podcast, host John Duisberg sits down with Ty Breland, CHRO and EVP, Global Operations Services at Marriott International, to talk about how that belief shows up in the way Marriott leads people and runs its global operations.

Ty's dual role gives him a direct view of the decisions that affect associates, guests and hotel owners. Because he leads both functions, Ty sees how culture decisions affect daily operations and guest experiences across 9,800 properties, 30+ brands and approximately 800,000 associates.

In this live conversation, you’ll hear how:

  • Associate care shapes the guest experience
  • Culture decisions connect to daily operations
  • Innovation can reduce friction in workday workflows
